In Wine Spectator, Robert Camuto visits Matteo Bisol, of the pioneering Bisol Prosecco family, who has launched his own line of col fondo Proseccos, joining a growing community of younger winemakers returning to the wine’s traditional roots.

In the New York Times, Eric Asimov highlights the most memorable wines he tasted in 2022.

“Napa Valley’s Seven Stones winery has sold for $34 million following the death of its founder, Ronald Wornick, last year. The price includes a 45-acre plot of land on the outskirts of St. Helena near the Meadowood resort, including 3 acres of planted vineyards, a 6,600-square-foot residence and a winery,” reports Wine Spectator.

In the San Francisco Chronicle, Esther Mobley also reports on the $34 million deal, and why it was so public.

“Throughout the lockdown phase of the pandemic, prices for high-end wines soared on the secondary market. But in the last few months, sales have slowed and some prices have even dropped,” reports W. Blake Gray in Wine-Searcher. The data comes from Liv-Ex, which issued its end of year report this week.
