Mark Aselstine, the co-founder of Uncorked Ventures, has generously offered to send one of these items to a lucky Terroirist.com reader!

The concept for Uncorked Ventures emerged during a family vacation to South America.

While drinking Pisco Sours and exploring the wines of Chile and Argentina, Mark and his brother-in-law, Matt Krause, decided to launch a wine company that would offer something different.

They soon launched Uncorked Ventures, promising to offer wines from small, artisan producers across California, Washington, and Oregon whose wines weren’t widely available. The wines are all sourced during trips to wine country, where Mark and Matt work directly with producers to gain access to limited production bottlings.

To enter the contest, you must comment on this post AND “like” the Facebook page for Uncorked Ventures. We’ll stop accepting entries on Sunday, July 28 at 11:59 pm PT. Please note that you’re only eligible if you live in a U.S. state where Uncorked Ventures currently ships.

Good luck!

  1. Done.

  2. You should mention that AWCC is trying to make that “currently ships” qualification go away…

  3. Thanks for taking the time Mike. Kyle-we’ve got our fingers crossed that we get some positive movement from AWCC, Free the Grapes and others.

  4. Intriguing. Doesn’t look anything like your typical wine club.

  5. They actually ship to Maryland! GASP. Seems like an interesting concept that will bring more attention to artisanal wine. I am beyond excited.

  6. Exciting! Looks fabulous.

  7. Yes, please! Love the variety of options for wine club memberships and gifts. Happy to see they ship to the District and what a perfect housewarming gift idea for my sister in Chicago.

  8. Love the added adventure to tasting wine! Love supporting artisan effort!

  9. What a great idea, does the shipment also include gourmet treat from those areas as well? Every time I travel I wish I could bring home every cheese, jelly, candy and other local fare but never have the suite case space.
